Rooted in Education Award: This week, I was gifted with an award from Lake Michigan Credit Union! Silas Haan reached out with a nomination for the bank's "Rooted In Innovative Education" Award. I was awarded with $1,000.00 to use in the classroom and further my education as a teacher! I am speechless and beyond excited! I see this award as a reminded from God that He equips His children to do great things for His Kingdom. Enjoying our Winn-Dixie party on Monday!

We celebrated just like the characters in the book.

In the book, the characters throw a party with dog pictures and pink streamers as decorations! I thought we could add that to our classroom as well.

We had great success in building our Gingerbread houses this past Wednesday. I was very impressed with the students' careful work. They took their time and invested time into their designs. The houses turned out GREAT!

No Homework for the Week of December 13.

Christmas Service Project - We will be collecting items to go in care packages for US military troops deployed overseas. Items needed are listed on the green paper that was sent home. You can also find the list on the previous blog post. Glass and aerosol containers are not allowed. We will be collecting these UNWRAPPED from Nov. 15-Dec. 13. Thank you for your contributions.

Classroom Christmas Party - We will have our Christmas Party on Wednesday, Dec. 15th from 1:15-2:45. We will NOT be trading presents, but instead playing games and doing some activities.
