- Math, Bible, and science tests (I had a chance to do some grading this weekend. ;) )

On Monday...
Homework Folders will have...

Thank you for those who could make it to chapel! Such a joy to lead you in worship!

Just a Note:
On Thursday and Friday of next week (March 21 & 22), I will be headed to a technology conference in Detroit. This is an amazing opportunity for teachers and educators to learn about practical ways to implement technology into instruction and curriculum. I look forward to this time of learning. As a result, the students will have a guest teacher. They are in the hands of a good educator!

Swimming Lessons:
On FRIDAY, I sent home a swimming lesson form. This flier needs to be signed by a parent or guardian. Please send that signed slip of paper back to school ASAP. Thank you. We would like all the papers collected by spring break.

Conferences:
Our 2nd semester conferences are Student-Led conferences. These conferences are such an awesome time for celebrating the 3rd grade growth that we've seen, and also coming together to challenge your child in the last few months of 3rd grade. One question your child will ask you at conferences will be, "Mom & Dad, what do you think I'm good at? What are my special gifts and qualities?" Think about this ahead of time, and come with a mental list of some of the ways that you want to encourage your child in who God has created him/her to be!

MARCH 1, 2019

God, you are holy because there is no one like you.
God, you are our shepherd because you watch over us and lead us.
God, you are destroyer because you destroyed Satan.
God, you are healer and comforter, because you have healed my mom and comforted her.
God, you are creator, because you created each one of us with love.
God you are grace filled and you give us even more grace. Even when we don't deserve it.
Every time we look outside, we are reminded that you are the Creator. And every morning you are still creating.

These were some of the prayers I heard on Thursday morning. As each child acknowledged their Great God by name, my heart welled up with joy. These are the moments I treasure as a teacher. Moments when His children are able to talk to Him by name. May we continue to model and provide these moments of conversations with our children.
