October 12, 2018
Ian's Mom read a story to the class. She also answered some of our
questions about Ian and children with downs syndrome.

This afternoon, we had the privilege to learn more about our friend Ian. Ian is a Kindergartener at Rose Park. Everyday, we see Ian with a smile. Ian is always ready to give a fist bump. God created Ian to have a love for his friends and Krispy Kreme Donuts. Ian finds joy in everything and is content with watching God's creation move. We also learned that Ian has Downs Syndrome. Ian's mom shared about how Ian has differences that we should understand. We learned about who Ian is, what he likes and dislikes, so we can love him better in return.

Celebrating as authors! We shared our first story with our 3rd grade peers.

Our class at the Walk-a-thon!

Great is Thy Faithfulness! What a special day yesterday was! There are no words to describe the glimpse of heaven that we all received when the children, grandparents, parents, and friends sang together, "Great is they faithfulness, all I hath needed, thy hand has provided." Thank you for a great day....I went home thanking God for the love of grandparents and family friends. I watched as they different generations sat together and read through books. It was very obvious that all these special friends hold big places in the hearts of our students.

Take a peek at our pictures from special day with grandparents and friends!
