The 3rd graders celebrating their hard work in writing!
I just want to say Thank You!  I appreciate the time you took out of your busy schedules so I could meet and learn more about your child, share what they are doing in school, and work together to make school a success. Your support means so much and I truly love having your children each and every day! May we continue to love, pray for, and challenge these children, so they may grow and desire to be disciples of Christ.

SKATING PARTY:Come and join other Rose Park Families at The Rink at 12521 James Street, on Tuesday, Nov. 7, 6pm-7:45pm. The cost is $5.00 per skater, which includes skate rental. Parents may watch for free! I will be there with my skates on!

Field Trip: 

The third grade is invited to listen and learn from Bill Vits, a professional percussionist from the Grand Rapids Symphony. We will be traveling to Grand Rapids for this field trip. We will leave our classroom at 9:30 and return to school around 12:30. Thank you for your willingness to volunteer.

This week the students had a chance to visit the Orchestra and Band room. The students had an "hands-on" opportunity to work with instruments and learn how these instruments are designed to make noise.

Learning about the many animals that God created and how they work in the world that He breathed to life!

Fall is in the air! It's been another busy week of learning and growing together as a classroom community.

Don't forget that this upcoming week is a short week due to the CEA convention for teachers. There is no school this coming Thursday or Friday!

Report cards go home in next Wednesday, Oct. 18 in their Fish Folders.

Holland Christian sent out an email was sent out this past Tuesday. Starting this past Wednesday, parents are able to register for conferences. The process of setting your conference times is a very simple one:
- Go to the PT Conference link on the front page of the Holland Christian web site – www.hollandchristian.org or go directly to http://www.virtualparagon.com/hollandchristian/conference/.

- That will bring you to the Parent/Teacher Reservation System page with Virtual Paragon (the provider of this service).  You will be asked for the master password for Holland Christian's page which is gohc (must be lowercase)

- If you have any further questions, please email vp_support@hollandchristian.org or call the office for assistance.

Great is Thy Faithfulness! What a special day yesterday was! There are no words to describe the glimpse of heaven that we all received when the children and grandparents together sang, "Oh How I Love Jesus!"Thank you for a great day....I went home thanking God for the love of grandparents and family friends. I watched as our students adopted their friends into their families for the afternoon. It was very obvious that all these special friends hold big places in the hearts of our students.

- Thank you Letter - The students, who had visitors yesterday, spent some time this morning writing a "thank you" letters to their grandparents. I sent them home in a envelope. Hope they can make it over the river and through the woods to Grandma's :)

FIELD TRIP:
Next week Wednesday, Oct. 11th, the 3rd graders will be traveling to the Outdoor Discovery Center to learn about how God created animals to adapt and the different birds of prey. I am excited for this field trip and what we will learn! We will leave at 9:00 and return around 2:00. The students will need a sack lunch with a drink included (juice box, small water bottle).
