We spent the week in Ephesians learning about Paul's message to the new Christians. We learned about unity and how we are better when we are ONE in Christ!

Paul also taught us about the Armor of God. We learned about the importance piece of this Spiritual Armor. Then the students started to create and craft their armor.

On Thursday afternoon, we played addition bingo with all of the 3rd grade students.

Art Shirts: Mrs. Luce has requested that each student brings an "art shirt" to school for the year. Please send your child with a shirt that can go over their school outfit. It will be kept in their locker and used on Tuesday for art. Thank you!

Headphones: In 3rd grade, we use our headphones often to learn. Please check in with your child and make sure they have a pair at school. 

Homework: We will begin MATH and READING homework on Tuesday, Sept 7. This homework will come home in a folder on Tuesday. The math homework will be review of place value and our goal for reading is 125 minutes! Both items are due by Monday, Sept. 13. I will accept it before that too!

Walkathon: On Thursday, your child came home with an informational packet about Walk-A-Thon. This is our only all school fundraiser. The packet has all the information. Please send the packet back to school by Friday, SEPTEMBER 10th. Thank you!

Picture Form/Yearbook: Picture forms came home on Thursday. We will have pictures in two weeks. The completed form can be returned to the classroom. Please note the "Yearbook" option on the form. We won't see those yearbooks until the last week of school, yet now is the time to order! I will let you know what specific day we will have our school pictures taken.
