Learning how to be a Peace Maker and Keeper with Mrs. Troop.

Is there such thing as 6 more weeks of summer?
We have had another good week at school and the students have been working very hard despite the heat and mugginess we continue to have.  I am blessed each day to be with your children and enjoy teaching them each week.

FISH FOLDER/HOMEWORK:
*Here is what is in their Weekend "fish" Folders.
- Misc. papers from the week

*Here is what is coming home in the Homework Folder on Monday.
- Reading Minutes: Send in their current reading minutes slip on Monday. A new reading paper will come home on Monday in their homework folder. This is due Oct. 2.

- Math Homework: Please have your child complete and return this paper by Friday, Sept. 29. Remember to circle and send back any problems that are too confusing to problem solve.

- Words Their Way: A new Word List will come home in their homework folder. Each night find different ways to practice spelling and sorting the words into the different groups. This practice with build your child's understanding of the spelling patterns and how to spell accurately. I will pick 10 of the words, plus the 5 words on the bottom, and test the children on Friday, Sept. 28.
