January 11, 2019

This past Saturday, I spent the afternoon at a training about children living live with Trauma. I learned about helpful tricks and tips to help those in our class self-regulate and calm down their bodies, instead of being on high alert! I learned so much.
I reminded the students of this today,
"You are safe. You are loved."

On Friday, Fish Folders included:
- TTQ Boys Running Club Information (Green paper)
- Misc. Papers

Homework Folder includes:
- Math Homework (Green paper this week!)
- Reading Minutes
- New word lists
- ACE Information (Green packet)

MAP Tests:
For the next two weeks, our students will be participating in taking a couple tests. There are three assessments that the students will take on their iPad. These tests are based on our curriculum teaching points and standards. These tests are just a window into your child's growth and learning. In order to do their best, I will be walking around the room to help, giving them 10 minutes breaks to move and eat something, and encouraging them to shine. How can you help? Continue to provide a great breakfast and enforcing that necessary sleep!
Thank you for all you do at home.

Classroom Need:
Tis the season to be sick! We are in need of more Disinfectant/Clorox Wipes. We wipe down our desk daily and we are running out of wipes. If there is extra space on your grocery bill for Disinfectant/Clorox Wipes that would be FANTASTIC!
