A little game of soccer between grades 2 and 3
From swimming lessons to finishing our information books, these students had a lot of work to complete. Each day I asked them to give what they could to learn something new and perform their understanding of a skill. Even though they were whooped from swimming lessons and schedule changes, these students gave their best.  I am thankful these students have an opportunity for a break and rest from their work.
Here is what you need to know for our four day week coming up.

Don't forget, SPRING BREAK STARTS THIS COMING FRIDAY, MARCH 31

Homework Reminders:
Those Chloes sure know how to dress!

There will be NO math homework and reading slips for our 4 day week, but please be sure to enjoy books during Spring Break!!

Report Cards:
I am excited to share the growth and progress I've been seeing so far this year via the report card that is coming home on Friday in your child's folder. Remember that a "3" indicates end of the year goals, so we are well on our way there! Thanks for the great partnership this year! I'm looking forward to our last couple months together.

Swimming Lessons:
Swimming Lessons are underway in 3rd grade. We arrive arrive at the pool around 8:45 and leave around 9:45. We will be at the Aquatic Center everyday until spring break. Our final day of lessons, will be on Thursday, March 29. Parents are welcome to come and watch their child swim.

Library Helper:
Wondering if there are any openings on your Thursday morning schedule for a parent or grandparent to come in and help with our library time. I am looking for someone to simply scan in the library books and/or help the students check out their books, while I help others locate a book in the library. The time frame would be from 11:10-11:30am on Thursdays. If you are interested in serving once, send me an email! Thanks!

Conferences:
We are looking forward to a special conference time with you AND your child this coming Monday or Wednesday! Remember, that these conferences are STUDENT LED and you will need to take your child with you. The students have worked hard in preparation for this night! Make sure you encourage them before and after the conference and acknowledge their hard work! This is such an awesome time of celebrating the 3rd grade growth that we've seen, and also coming together to challenge your child in the last few months of 3rd grade. One question your child will ask you at conferences will be, "Mom & Dad, what do you think I'm good at?" Think about this ahead of time, and come with a mental list of some of the ways that you want to encourage your child in who God has created him/her to be!

Tulip Time:
Tulip Time is right around the corner! We will once again be marching in the Thursday Kinderparade, May 10th. A heads up you'll want to remember...now is the time to be getting a dutch costume for your child! (It's not something you can grab at Meijer the night before. :)
