What are we learning!
Math: We are tackling fractions and their excitement for this unit is AMAZING!
Bible: We are finishing our short unit on Elisha and will have a small quiz next week
Reading: We are digging deep in our reading skills. Learning how to analyze and interpret fiction texts.
Writing: We just finished our Informational writing unit. Next week, we will work on writing a Literary Essay.
Social Studies: We are learning about the different movements of people throughout our nation's history.
TULIP TIME INFORMATION 1st - 4th grade: Tulip time permissions slips should be returned to your teacher by Wednesday, May 1. Please fill out and return the neon page that was sent home to you! Additionally, you may view a copy of the information here.
WRITING CELEBRATION - Your child is bringing home their published personal expertise book on Monday. We worked long and hard on these and are quite proud of the finished product. Be sure to take some time to let your child read their book to you and ask them what parts they're most proud of. There's a lot to celebrate there!
PLANT SALE - Our plant sale is scheduled for Wednesday, May 22. It will begin at 7:30am and plants will continue to be available until the end of the school day. We will be selling tomato plants and a few herbs (basil, cilantro, rosemary). Please spread the word to friends and family if they are interested in picking up a few plants for their garden!
Library Notice: The week of May 6-10 is the last week for students to borrow books from our Rose Park Library. All student library materials are due by May 17.

On Thursday, we buddied up with Ms. Scott's 2nd grade class! We played a few math games and enjoyed 20 minutes together.
